The change of landscapes and vegetation zones makes up this section of the E5 long-distance hiking trail. One of the key stages is probably that of the Memminger hut over the Seescharte (2.599m) behind to Oberlochalm and through the Zammer Loch out to Zams. From Zams you can then take the Venet Bahn up to the Krahberg (2,208m) and then hike either over the Glanderspitze (2,512m) or take the alternative via the Gogles Alm (2,017m) down to Wenns.
