From the Stripsenjochhaus in the Kaiser Mountains, the trail descends gently to the Feldalmsattel; on the other side, the path climbs gently toward the Hochalm. From here, follow the trail markers for Heuberg and Walchsee. Below the Roßkaiser, the trail winds partly through flower-filled meadows and sparse forest, then later over steep scree slopes and through mountain pines to the Jöchl (1,491 m). If you’d like, you can climb the Heuberg from here. Those who prefer to continue straight down into the valley should follow the trail down to the Hageralm. From there, take the road through meadows and wooded sections past the Wolfingeralm until, shortly afterward, the trail leads down to the Gwirchtalm. Turn left here toward the parking lot. Now head north toward Walchsee, turn left, and walk along the west side of the lake into the village.
