From the top station of the Rofan cable car, take the trail to the “Grubascharte” and continue to the “Schafsteigsattel”. Turn to the steep southern rocky crags of the “Sagzahn”. The path continues without much elevation until you reach the rocks. First climb through a rocky chimney which is secured with a steel rope and then through a somewhat steeper alpine meadow and you will reach the “Sagzahn”. From the “Sagzahn” summit a safe path takes you to the summit cross of the “Vorderes Sonnwendjoch”. From here a well-maintained steep trail leads to Wiesing via “Bayreuther Hütte” mountain hut to Kramsach or via “Alpbühelalm” mountain hut (not serviced) to Wiesing. Walking time: approx. 3 hours Walking time (from Sonnwendjoch) to Kramsach: approx. 5 hours Walking time (from Sonnwendjoch) to Wiesing: approx. 4 hour
