From the top station of the Rofan cable car walk past the “Mauritzalm” mountain hut to the “Grubastiege” and further on to the “Grubalacke”. Keep left below the south wall of the mountain “Rosskopf”, continue until you are below the dip between the “Seekarlspitze” and “Rosskopf” mountains. Steep steps (secured with a rope) lead up to the “Seekarl” summit. From there continue through grassy meadows to the ascent of the “Spieljoch”. The ascent to the southern ridge and the summit is also secured with a rope. The descent from “Spieljoch” leads through the mountain pastures that stretch out to the south of the summit. A short and steep winding trail takes you to the path that leads to the top station of the Rofan cable car.
