The route starts at the Alpengasthaus Kasern in Schmirn. At the beginning the route runs on a wide asphalt road which later turns into a gravel path. With little ascent the whole MTB route leads to the Tettensbach shortly before the Kasern Winkel. There are some shallow watercourses to be crossed, which carry more or less water depending on the season.
