From the top station of the Rofan cable car, walk past the Mauritzalm mountain hut and from here follow the path on the left below the eastern flank of the Gschöllkopf. Continue over the saddle until you reach the green sink below the Hochiss. Continue along the grassy slopes and rocky terrain of the Spieljoch until you reach the saddle. Below the summit of the Hochiss, a switchback trail climbs over a rocky scarp to the highest peak of the Rofan mountains. The descent is via the Streichkopf to the Dalfaz Alm and to the top station of the Rofan cable car. The Enzian route ends at the Dalfaz Alm.
