From the parking lot of the Stubnerkogel lift, this tour begins on the flat Kaiserin Elisabeth promenade to Böckstein in the south, before the steep trail to the Böckfeldalm follows. Up through shady larches, spruces and Swiss stone pines, you quickly reach the rustic alpine pasture and follow the trail further up over steep meadow slopes and small forest sections. The extraordinary view of the Anlauftal and the Schareck in Sportgastein is fascinating and gives you energy for the last meters to the Zittraueralm. From now on you follow a forest path to the middle station of the Stubnerkogelbahn. If you resist the temptation to take it downhill, you can power through the last stretch back to the valley station on a steep downhill.
