The starting point is in Stans either at the parking lot of The Brandstetterhof (€ 5,-/day) or free of charge at the Laurentiuskirche (eastern end of the village) - from both parking lots the way to the Wolfsklamm is signposted. This adventurous hike leads over steps, paths and gorges along impressive waterfalls and makes the hearts of children and adults beat faster. The path climbs only slightly at the beginning - after about 20 minutes of ascent the real spectacle begins - the power of the water is experienced up close and yet at a safe distance and finally leads to an idyllic stream bed, where you can rest, play or romp.
After a good rest you continue over an imposing wooden bridge to the oldest place of pilgrimage in Tyrol, the rock monastery St. Georgenberg. Here you can enjoy culinary delicacies under ancient chestnut trees.
You can walk back to Stans via the Way of the Cross to Weng. First you take the same path as the climb, but then you follow the wide pilgrim's path on the Way of the Cross (over a small bridge) until the turn-off to Stans.
Stop in Stans at The Brandstetterhof, Gasthof Marschall or Restaurant Steiner.
