When starting outfrom Dorfgastein, follow the trail along the west side of the valley, and as the summits of the Hohen Tauern become closer, you will experience what was at one time only encountered by pioneers and explorers: Concealed basin-shaped valleys are attributes of the surrounding countryside, along with steep grassy mountains, the high Alpine terrain and charming promenades. Hikers that conquer this trail will experience scenery that once attracted emperors and princes.
