The Region Seefeld - Tirols Hochplateau, is a sunny high plateau that is situated at 1,200 metres above sea level. Framed by the Wetterstein Mountains and the extensive Karwendel Nature Park, its five villages south of the Zugspitze offer a really diverse range of experiences. A holiday destination steeped in tradition, the region Seefeld comprises five villages – Mösern-Buchen, Scharnitz, Reith, Leutasch and Seefeld – and offers a vast area for walking and hiking amid a stunning, pristine natural landscape.
You can walk and hike in Tyrol at all times of the year. As a year-round holiday destination, the region offers the opportunity to explore its vast network of trails and paths both in summer and winter. During the summer months, the area has more than 650 kilometres of marked walking, hiking and climbing routes that offer outdoor enthusiasts the chance to explore the breathtaking natural surroundings. The paths and trails are categorised into varying levels of difficulty according to length and elevation gain/loss and signposted accordingly.
